MikroTik's netPower series switches have different power requirements, and selecting the appropriate AC/DC adapters is important for the device's performance and safety. Below are the power supply information for the netPower 16P and netPower 15FR models:
Power Requirements:
Input Voltage: 18–57 V DC
Maximum Power Consumption: 316 W
PoE Output: Support for 802.3af/at (PoE+) over 16 Gigabit Ethernet ports
Is the Power Supply Included? No; an external power supply is required.
Compatible Power Adapters:
24HPOW: 24V, 2.5A (60W)
48POW: 48V, 1.46A (70W)
48V2A96W: 48V, 2A (96W)
Not:The device does not have a built-in voltage converter; therefore, the output voltage directly depends on the adapter used. When both 24V and 48V adapters are connected simultaneously, the device can automatically select the appropriate PoE standard and voltage according to the needs of the connected devices or be manually configured.
Power Requirements:
Input Voltage: 18–57 V DC
Maximum Power Consumption:29 W
PoE Feature: 15 reverse PoE (Reverse PoE) ports; PoE output via Ethernet port 15
Is the Power Supply Included? No; an external power supply is required.
Power Connection Methods:
DC Input: 2.1x5.5x12 mm plug with 2-pin screw terminal
Reverse PoE: The device can receive power from connected clients via reverse PoE.
Not:netPower 15FR, with its reverse PoE feature, can operate using power from connected clients, especially in environments where the power supply is limited, such as attics or maintenance voids.
Both devices are sold without a power adapter; suitable adapters must be obtained separately.
It is important that the adapters to be used have the capacity to meet the device's power requirements.
For the netPower 16P, the total power consumption of connected PoE devices must not exceed the maximum power that the used adapter can provide.
