MikroTik GPeR(Gigabit Passive Ethernet Repeater) is a compact and passive PoE-supported device designed to extend the distance of Ethernet connections. It is particularly useful in situations where running Ethernet cables is difficult, such as in multi-story buildings, apartments, or over long distances.
Ethernet Ports: 2 x 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet
Switch Chip: Marvell E6341
PoE Input: 802.3af/at or Passive PoE (24–57 V DC)
PoE Output: Selectable Passive PoE Passthrough with Jumper
Maximum Power Consumption:2 W
Operating Temperature: -40°C to +70°C
Available Distance:
Between GPeR and standard device: 100–150 m (depending on cable quality)
Between GPeR and GPeR: 210 m (depending on cable quality)
Maximum Ethernet Length: Up to 1,500 m in total (with PoE-powered connections)
Montaj: Included for wall mounting: screws and mounting device.
IP Class: IPX0 (not suitable for outdoor use)
Long Distance Ethernet Connections: GPeR extends the range of Ethernet connections to provide internet or network access in remote areas.
Multi-Story Building Network Distribution: A GPeR device can receive power from a PoE source and transmit the Ethernet connection to the next floor or apartment.
Flexible Network Configurations: GPeR offers a flexible solution to add new devices by utilizing the existing Ethernet infrastructure.
Use of PoE Passthrough: If the target device does not provide PoE support, PoE passthrough can be disabled by removing the jumpers on the GPeR.
Cable Quality: The quality of the Ethernet cable used directly affects the stability and range of the connection.
Outdoor Use: GPeR should not be used outdoors as it falls under the IPX0 class.
