OVERVIEW
Ubiquiti Networks continues to disrupt the wireless broadband market with its revolutionary LTU technology that surpasses the limits of 802.11 Wi-Fi. The new airFiber AF-5XHD, designed for use in the 5 GHz frequency band, is Ubiquiti's first LTU radio-link device, offering up to 100 MHz of additional channel bandwidth and more advanced RF components. You can pair the AF-5XHD with a compatible Ubiquiti® airFiber X antenna or RocketDish™ antenna for a complete 5 GHz Point-to-Point (PtP) solution.
An IP67 upgrade kit is available to provide better protection against dust and water for the device.
It is specifically designed for the wireless ISP industry.
The ground floor, AF-5XHD's special LTU silicon and radio architecture provides high performance. The core communication processing engine surpasses the inherent limitations of generic Wi-Fi.
There are Wi-Fi chips designed to provide low latency, long-range capability, DFS flexibility, and better power output, along with enhanced reception sensitivity.
AF-5XHD features line-rate data packet processing for industry-leading 21.2 bps/Hz spectral efficiency*, up to 1.34 Gbps actual data throughput*, and innovative xtreme Range Technology (xRT™).
Full Band Certification with DFS
AF-5XHD covers the entire unlicensed 5 GHz spectrum and includes DFS approval. Anyone around the world can place and use the AF-5XHD in the 5 GHz range almost anywhere (depending on local country regulations) as they wish.
Flexibility of Optimum Operating Channel Bandwidth in Unlicensed Bands (10/20/30/40/50/60/80/100 MHz) allows independent TX and RX channel frequency configurations anywhere in the radio frequency bands to prevent local interference and enable the selection of channel centers. Additionally, you can schedule different uplink and downlink duty cycles to support asymmetric traffic requirements.
Ultra Low Latency with HDD Technology
AF-5XHD is designed to provide the highest TDD.
It has been produced with the existing registration of productivity.
Hybrid Division Duplexing (HDD) technology
On a main carrier link, two AF-5XHD radios use HDD technology, which is pending patent for calculation.
They send packets according to full synchronization since the propagation delay and each device knows when it can transmit and whether it can be received. Packet transmission delay is almost eliminated.
